Rash of Vehicle Vandalism Reported in Rochester Hills Subdivision

Mirrors broken on at least 3 vehicles in same neighborhood over weekend.

At least three vehicles in a Rochester Hills subdivision were apparently targeted by a vandal over the weekend, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

An Oakland County Sheriff’s deputy responded Sept. 29 to the 1000 block of Springwood Lane for a report of damage to a vehicle, according to a police report. The vehicle’s owner told the deputy between midnight and 3 a.m. that day someone had attacked his 2007 Toyota Tundra pickup truck, breaking the driver’s side mirror.

The man told the deputy his neighbors, located at the 1000 block of Hidden Lane, alerted him to the damage after their Ford Focus was also attacked, the police report indicated. The neighbor told the deputy several other residents in the neighborhood had damage to their vehicles and that he last saw his vehicle unscathed at about 2 a.m. that day, indicating the damage likely occurred after that time and before his daughter’s boyfriend left the home at 3 a.m. and noticed the damage.
