Purse Reported Stolen in Rochester

St. Clair Shores woman reports purse theft in Rochester and more crime from around Rochester.

The following information was provided by Rochester Police. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Rochester Police responded May 2 to the 1000 block of Ironwood Drive for a report of a theft from a vehicle, according to a police report.

The vehicle owner, a 51-year-old St. Clair Shores resident, told police someone had taken her purse from her vehicle, the report indicated.

The woman described a possible suspect to police, but a suspect has not yet been identified, the report indicated.

Basement window broken in Rochester

Rochester Police responded April 28 to a home at the 400 block of North Castell on a report of a Rochester resident hearing a basement window break, according to an incident report.

The resident told police they had heard the basement window break about 15 minutes prior, but did not know who might have been responsible, the report indicated.

Officers confirmed someone had broken the window, but were unable to locate a witness.

Woman arrested on drunken-driving charge

Rochester Police stopped a vehicle at about 1:23 a.m. on April 28 that did not have its headlights on, according to a police report.

The officer spoke with the driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old Shelby Township woman, and determined the woman was operating a vehicle while intoxicated, the report indicated.

Police arrested the woman where she was given a breathalyzer test, registering a .15 percent blood-alcohol content, nearly twice the legal limit of .08 percent, the report indicated.

Police later released the woman with a citation on the drunken-driving charge, the report indicated.
