Police Blotter: Soap Vandalism, Stolen Tires and Discarded Bible

The following information was supplied by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Substation in Rochester Hills.

Vandals write on home's windows with soap

A woman on Shagbark Drive reported someone had soaped her windows and written on them on July 10, according to an Oakland County Sheriff's Office report. The resident does not know who might be reponsible, but suspects "it could be some girls from a neighboring school."

Thief rummages through vehicle, throws out bible

A woman on Porter Circle discovered her Bible lying on the ground next to her vehicle Thursday morning after someone entered her vehicle "through the driver's side door by punching a hole next to the door handle and damaging it," according to a sheriff's office report. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

2 cars broken into on Oneil Circle

A woman on the 1600 block of Oneil reported her Magellan GPS unit stolen from underneath the seat of her car Thursday morning, according to a sheriff's office report. There are no suspects or witnesses.

On the 1500 block of the same street, another resident reported "the center console frame around the navigation and radio" of his vehicle "was ripped from the dash," though neither the radio or the navigation system were removed, according to a sheriff's office report.

Vehicle vandalized

A resident on the 1800 block of Village Green Boulevard discovered the two front seats of his vehicle had been slashed "with a sharp instrument" early Thursday morning, according to a sheriff's office report. The resident also reported a subwoofer, amplifier and watch missing from the vehicle. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

Tires stolen from truck

Two tires were stolen from a semi truck trailer parked in the Scherer Inc. parking lot on Commerce Drive between July 7-12, according to a sheriff's office report. There are no potential witnesses or suspects at this time.
