Man Sought in Rochester Hills Bank Robbery

Man wanted in connection with robbery at TCF Bank on Auburn Road in Rochester Hills.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of a man involved in a bank robbery Tuesday at TCF Bank at Auburn and Rochester roads in Rochester Hills.

Deputies from the department responded at about 10 a.m. Tuesday to the bank in response to a report of a robbery. According to the department, a man entered the bank, handed the bank teller a grocery bag and demanded money. He then left the bank after the money was placed in the bag.

The suspect in the robbery is described as a white man, between 35-40 years old, wearing a brown work jacket, blue jeans and a Detroit Red Wings hat with a black brim. He reportedly left the building and drove away eastbound on Auburn Road in a vehicle believed to be a silver Toyota Yaris.

According to the department, nobody was injured in the robbery. Agents from FBI's Troy office are working with Sheriff's officials on the investigation. The Sheriff's department notified other departments, including the Macomb County Sheriff's Department, of the description of the suspect and his vehicle.
