Man, on Phone With Wife, Collapses in Rochester Hills Parking Lot and Later Dies
He told his wife he was having chest pains, according to a police report.
A 65-year-old northern Michigan resident was found unconscious in a Rochester Road parking lot on Thursday night. He was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
The man had been talking to his wife on the phone and told her he was having chest pains, according to a report from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, who responded to the scene at 8:46 p.m. near Hamlin and Rochester roads.
He was unresponsive and not breathing when the sheriff's office arrived, the report stated. The Rochester Hills Fire Department transported the man to Beaumont Hospital in Troy, where he was pronounced dead, according to the report.

The man was a resident of Alden in northern Michigan.
