Clinton Township police used a taser to subdue a violent teen Monday after the 16-year-old assaulted officers called to investigate a report of domestic violence at the apartment in which he was present.

Officers responded to a unit in the 20000 block of Weybridge around 9:44 a.m. Jan. 28 where they found the teen and a 23-year-old man who had reportedly been fighting.

When officers explained why they were there, the suspects began yelling and swearing. The 23-year-old resisted being handcuffed, while the 16-year-old pushed an officer backward in an effort to attack the other two officers in the apartment, according to the police report.

The first officer was able to taser the teen and place him in handcuffs. Both men were arrested for resisting a police officer and could face additional charges, according to police.
