Driver Hits Parked Sheriff Deputy's Car at Red Roof Inn

The sheriff's office was there responding to a complaint about a large party, according to a police report.

An Oakland Country Sheriff's patrol unit received a large dent to the front fender early Saturday morning at the Red Roof Inn on Crooks Road, according to a police report.

The vehicle was parked at the Inn while deputies responded to a large party complaint. A 36-year-old male resident of Sterling Heights, not related to the party, hit the patrol unit while attempting to back out of a parking spot, according to the report. The deputy was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

According to the police report, the driver of the suspect vehicle had been drinking and had a suspended license. He was lodged at the Oakland County Jail.
