Details Revealed About Manhunt in Rochester, Rochester Hills

Criminal complaint: Man questioned in Detroit barbershop shooting charged with assaulting officer.

A criminal complaint has detailed the manhunt leading up to the arrest in Rochester of Larry O'Neil Walker II, a person of interest in a deadly Detroit barbershop shooting

According to the report, a task force that included the FBI targeted Walker and set up surveillance along the 800 block of Lynhaven in Rochester Hills.

According to the report, at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, investigators saw two white cars occupied by women leaving a home on Lynhaven, heading toward Rochester and Avon roads, stopping briefly at several gas stations and closed restaurants without exiting their vehicles. According to the complaint, the women were believed to be associates of Walker.

One of the task force agents lost sight of one of the vehicles at about 12:20 a.m. Thursday, according to the complaint, and the second car was later seen bac at the 800 block of Lynhaven.

According to the complaint, a blue Chrysler minivan approached the unmarked car of an officer stationed at the Outback Steakhouse at 1880 S. Rochester Road. The officer reportedly tried to drive away, but the driver of the van blocked the officer's path and steered the van toward the driver's side door of the officer's car. The officer reportedly dodged a collision and headed north on Rochester Road, radioing for help as the driver of the van tried to rear-end his vehicle, speeding up to 80 mph.

According to the complaint, the officer on at least one occasion was forced to move his vehicle into the center lane of Rochester Road to avoid contact.

As the officer and driver reached the bridge heading toward downtown Rochester at South Street, other agents and task force officers arrived to help and slowed the van down to a stop. The driver of the van then reportedly drove forward and toward a task force officer's driver's-side door. The other officers then attempted to box the van in from behind, but the van began to reverse toward the other vehicles. A task force officer then exited his vehicle, identified himself as a police officer, and ordered the driver to stop and put his hands in the air.

According to the complaint, the driver continued to reposition his van to drive off and yelled, "I don't f------ care if you are the police, no one chases my mamma."

An officer then was able to grab a hold of Walker and remove him from the van.

Walker, who was reportedly wearing a bulletproof vest when he was removed from his van, was taken into custody. It is unclear what prompted the task force to target Walker. Walker currently is charged with assaulting an officer.
