Deputies Use Taser on Agitated Rochester Hills Man

The man appeared to be intoxicated when he tried to kick and punch deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office used a Taser on a man who pushed and tried to kick the deputies, who were called to his Rochester Hills home.

The incident happened at 5:45 p.m. Monday in the 70 block of Mirabeau in the Rochester Estates mobile home park.

According to a report from the sheriff's office, family members of the 35-year-old man called for police help when the man locked himself in the bedroom and refused to come out. When deputies arrived on the scene, the man came out of the bedroom and was "very agitated and verbally abusive toward the deputies," the report stated. The man "appeared to be intoxicated" then said he was leaving, pushed deputies out of his way and attempted to kick and punch them, the report stated. That's when deputies deployed a Taser.
