Deputies Stop Allegedly Drunk Man's Naked Romp with Taser Gun

"People were wondering what kind of drugs was he on, or what kind of drugs was he not on," an Oakland County Sheriff's Office spokesman said.

An allegedly drunk Orion Township man wearing only his birthday suit streaked through his neighborhood late Sunday night before Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies finally subdued him with Taser guns.

Officials were called to the 4400 block of Wildwood Loop in Brandon Township about 9:30 p.m. Sunday after neighbors reported he was running naked around the neighborhood, according to a report provided to Patch by the sheriff’s office.

“We were getting a lot of calls about somebody drunk,” Lt. Steven Schneider of the sheriff’s office told the Detroit Free Press. “People were wondering what kind of drugs was he on, or what kind of drugs was he not on.”

When authorities arrived, the naked man – later identified as Garret Roberts, 24 – ran into a residence in the 4500 block of Ivy Court, where he was confronted by the homeowner. He ran into one of the bedrooms and climbed out a window, eluding authorities.

After  short chase, deputies found Roberts lying on the ground. He began to resist the deputies when they approached to take him into custody, and deputies deployed their Taser guns to subdue him, the report said.
