Crime Report: Home Invasion, Purse Stolen Near Trail, Duck Ornament Smashed

The following information was supplied by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office and the Rochester Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Sheriff's Office reports

Here is a look at crime reported to the over the past week. According to reports:

On Nov. 4, someone used a brick to break a garage window at a home on Cloverport. Nothing was found to be missing, but the homeowner reported $100 in damage.

On Nov. 4, a satellite TV package was to have been delivered to a home on Orchardale Drive the resident never got it. The homeowner guessed it had been stolen, called the satellite company and was advised to file a police report.

On Nov. 3, someone took a cement duck ornament from a yard in the 3400 block of Salem Street and smashed it in the road in front of the home. The duck's head was broken off.

On Nov. 2, three pairs of glasses were reported stolen from a car parked in the 1900 block of Oak Pointe Drive.

On Nov. 2, someone smashed a car window and took a purse from inside a locked car parked near Tienken and Oakbrook roads, in the lot near the Paint Creek Trail. The incident happened 11-11:50 a.m. while the victim walked on the trail.

On Nov. 2, a utility trailer was stolen from a business in the 1700 block of Hamlin Road.

On Nov. 2, a pressure washer was taken from inside a van parked in a lot in the 1900 block of Star Batt Drive.

On Nov. 1, a homeowner in the 2100 block of Mackwood Court reported someone broke into her home over the weekend while she was away. Sheriff's officers found part of the screen on a back door had been removed. There were no suspects.

Rochester Police reports

Here is a roundup of reports released Monday by the According to the reports:

On Oct. 29, a 42-year-old Washington woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Rochester Police discovered her urinating near her parked car in the area of Parkdale and Wyngate roads, according to a report.

On Oct. 29, a 17-year-old Rochester boy was arrested for driving while intoxicated and his two 17-year-old friends were arrested for being minors in possession of alcohol after Rochester Police stopped them on Second Street. The car in which they were riding had been speeding, then changed lanes without a signal, struck a curb and drove onto a resident's lawn, a police report stated.

On Oct. 28, a 28-year-old Rochester Hills man was arrested in the parking lot at Walnut and Fourth streets in downtown Rochester for possession of marijuana and narcotic paraphernalia. Rochester Police officers stopped him after they observed him driving erratically and found the items in his car, a report stated.
