Man reportedly jumps over pharmacy counter with gun, demands drugs from safe.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Sunday at the CVS at the corner of Adams and Walton in Rochester Hills.

According to Sheriff's officials, deputies were dispatched to the store just after 1 a.m. Sunday for a report of an armed robbery in progress where a man reportedly entered the pharmacy area by jumping over the counter and demanded drugs from the safe while visibly brandishing a handgun, Sheriff's officials indicated. The man retrieved the drugs and then fled on foot, according to the Sheriff's office.

Deputies established a perimeter around the area and a police dog search didn't produce any traces of the man's whereabouts, but an airsoft pistol and narcotics were found near the intersection of Walton and Adams, according to the Sheriff's office.
