2 Arrested for Fighting in Street in Rochester

Rochester Police arrested two men after a scuffle in the street, according to police. 

According to the department, police on patrol early Dec. 28 observed two drunk men fighting in the middle of the road near Second and Walnut streets in Rochester. Police arrested a 38-year-old Rochester Hills man and a 20-year-old man from Columbus, MI, in the skirmish. The two were taken to the Rochester station for booking and lodging.

While on patrol early Jan. 1, Rochester Police observed a vehicle driving recklessly in the area of East Alley and Third St. According to police, the vehicle was stopped and the driver, a 23-year-old Shelby Township resident was found to be driving while intoxicated. The driver was subsequently arrested and released later that day when sober.

Rochester Police were dispatched late Dec. 28 to the 1200 block of Stony Creek Drive for a report of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and one of the subjects involved in the alleged assault was arrested and taken to the Rochester station, where they were later arraigned at 52-3 District Court.

Rochester Hills man arrested after driving drunk

While on routine patrol in the City of Rochester, Rochester Police observed a vehicle driving recklessly in the area of Third and Helen streets early Dec. 28. The officer stopped the driver, a 23-year-old Rochester Hills resident, who was found to be intoxicated. The driver was subsequently arrested and released later that day when sober.
