Sheriff's deputies found a 12-year-old girl who reportedly ran away in a park with an 18-year-old man and returned her to her grandmother's custody. She reportedly threatened her grandmother and sister with a knife and is now in juvenile custody.

A 12-year-old girl from Rochester Hills was arrested around 3 a.m. Monday after she allegedly threatened her grandmother and sister with a knife.

Oakland County Sheriff’s officials found the girl in a park with an 18-year-old man after they went to a home on Nicole Street to investigate a report that she had run away, The Oakland Press reports.

The 18-year-old was identified and released and authorities took the girl back to the home and released her to her grandmother. However, they were called back to the scene shortly after leaving when the girl “became more aggressive,” the sheriff’s office said.
