Mitchell and Operti "started a nonprofit to help take care of needy kids in Rochester," said Kathy Campbell, who nominated them.

"This past summer KidzKare, Inc. helped to provide 397 under- and uninsured children with school physicals, along with vision, hearing and dental screenings," Campbell wrote.

They received their reward in a presentation on Monday.
