Buyer beware! My husband bought me a diamond and gold ring from IDI for our anniversary, and IDI used STEEL instead of gold to size it. Soon after, one of the diamonds fell out and the ring required additional repairs. The owner, Richard, was very rude and unprofessional when we took it in, and he said it was MY fault it because I shouldn't be wearing it every day! A couple years later I noticed that one of the diamonds looked chipped. When I took it to another jeweler for repairs, I learned that FOUR of the 7 diamonds were damaged (i.e., worthless!) due to faulty repairs and setting. This was confirmed by a second jeweler, and IDI (Richard) will not stand by its/his work! The owner again insists this is all my fault. Not exactly the highest level of professionalism and expertise they claim is their commitment on their website. Meanwhile, I am left with a worthless setting and 4 ruined diamonds. Find another jeweler to trust your family heirlooms and memories to!
