Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate - Who knew?!

Warm up with some Slow-Cooked Hot Chocolate. Your whole family is sure to love it!

Well, we certainly haven't had a lot of snow, but it's getting bitter cold out there!  A great way to help take the chill off, is to make home made hot chocolate.  Sure, you can heat up a mug of water in the microwave and pour in a packet of that powdery stuff....we've all done it.  BUT, wouldn't it be special to serve your family and/or guests a Homemade mug of tasty and delicious hot chocolate?!  YES!  As usual, I'm here to tell you how!

It's pretty simple really.  You heat some milk in your slow cooker, add in some chocolate (and a little sugar if the chocolate you're using is not very sweet) and a bit of vanilla.  VOILA!  You have made homemade hot chocolate that you can add just about anything to!  And by anything, I mean you can add some adult adornments to your mug if you wish too!  (wink, wink!)

Want to make it look fancy?!  Top your creation with some yummy whipped cream and maybe a candy cane or some shaved chocolate.  You could even have a bit more fun with it and have a "garnish bar" with different hot chocolate "toppers!"  How fun would that be?  Picture this: Your kids go out to play in the snow and a couple hours later, they come in to a fun "Hot Chocolate Bar!"  What a fun surprise that would be.
