Coca-Cola Roast — Slow Cooker Recipe

Coca-Cola isn't just for drinking! This is a quick and easy recipe using a can of Coca-Cola!

In the past, I've heard others say they've used a can of Coca-Cola to cook roasts.  In my rush to leave the house a couple of weeks ago, I had less than 5 minutes to get something into my slow cooker. I had a roast in the freezer, some potatoes and carrots, and then, I saw an empty can of Coke sitting on my counter. That's when I had a stroke of genious! I ran and got a full can of Coke and the rest is, well.....history!

Not only is this quick to throw together, but it's easy and inexpensive, too. Chances are, you'll have most of the ingredients laying around your house. (That's always so satisfying when that happens!)

Coca-Cola Chicken

Ingredients:
3-4 lb. boneless bottom round steak (or whatever kind of roast you want)
5-6 small potatoes, cut if you'd like
4-5 medium sized carrots (or more) peeled, cut in half or thirds
2 tsp. chopped garlic (about 2-3 cloves)
salt and pepper to taste
1 can Coca-Cola

Directions: (I used a 6 Quart Slow-Cooker for this)
Place your roast in the crock (mine was frozen) with your carrots and potatoes. Sprinkle it with salt, pepper and garlic. Pour the can of Coke over the top. Cook on LOW for 8-10 hours or on HIGH for 5-6 hours. ENJOY!

Hugo... the road, bridge, road right of way: The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC)... theRead More aesthetic black fence... Rochester Hills... let's assume there waiting for an insurance claim to go through or debating who pays. Thanks for your post. You could call the Mayor, but he is in Istanbul Turkey... looking over some plans for a new shopping mall they want to build in an historic park. Makes perfectly good sense this is the same Mayor who supported tearing down a historic house on Rochester Road to build a new strip mall... and turning Office Research Technology zoning into a Wal-Mart.

Yes I have been wondering too...I am going to use the RCOC website and see if they will respond
