Rochester Hills Family Wins Beaumont's Baby Story Contest

A Rochester Hills baby born six and a half weeks early last year is the winner of Beaumont Health System's ‘Tell Your Beaumont Baby Story’ contest.

John Matthew Burns, the son of Grace and Adam Burns, received the grand prize for the video his parents submitted of their baby story. The family will receive more than $500 in prizes, including membership at in Rochester Hills.

"On the most mentally and physically uncomfortable night of my life the staff at Beaumont was a source of calm," said Grace Burns in the voiceover of her video entry. John was born early because Grace had preeclampsia, she said. 

"A year later I finally realize John coming six weeks early was how it was supposed to be," Grace said in the video. "God wanted me to have six more weeks of my life with him in it, and I wouldn't have it any other way."
