Emily Jacobs Named Rochester's Homecoming Queen

Emily, who has Down syndrome, voted by her peers as queen.

Emily Jacobs was named Rochester High School's homecoming queen on Friday.

Emily, 17, of Rochester Hills, has Down syndrome, and is very popular amongst her Rochester peers. 

Rochester-Rochester Hills Patch sat down with Emily and her mother, Cheryl Jacobs, last week before the big game Friday to tell her story. Her story soon spread to regional and national outlets, including the Huffington Post.
