MOBIBO “Download to Donate” Charity Initiative with the Michigan Humane Society

MOBIBO, a locally created mobile app, is partnering up with the Michigan Humane Society! From December 16th-31st, MOBIBO will be donating 25 cents to the Michigan Humane Society for each new download of their app. For example, if 1,000 downloads occur, they will donate $250 ($0.25 x 1,000 = $250). Downloads are completely FREE. 

The way the app works is simple. Once it gets downloaded to an iPhone or Android Smartphone, it will use GPS to locate deals from nearby merchants in the Southeastern Michigan area and will then alert the consumer at the ideal time – when they are approaching the advertiser’s place of business. When the consumer views (not redeem) a deal, they get paid a quarter. Since its release on September 2nd, 2011, MOBIBO has been an instant hit within Southeastern Michigan. Over 9,000 people have already downloaded the app, and thousands of dollars have already been paid out to consumers for viewing local deals.
