Mark and Debbie Mansell stopped in Rochester Hills on June 24 as part of a nationwide motorcycle ride to benefit Leader Dogs for the Blind.

Mark and Debbie Mansell, the Washington natives on a nationwide trek to raise money for Leader Dogs for the Blind, have reached their destination in California, raising more than $30,000 in the process.

The couple visited Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester Hills on June 24 as part of the trek, which took the Mansells to 48 states in 24 days.

"They achieved their 48 states in 24 days goal by arriving in Temecula, CA, on Monday, July 8, and have taken a more leisurely drive home, heading through Oregon today," Megan Peterson, a spokeswoman for the couple's journey, said Thursday in an email.
