St. Luke's United Methodist Church/Girl Scouts Little Dresses for Africa Event

St. Luke's is hosting a "Little Dresses for Africa" event for pre-registered Girl Scout troops of all ages on Saturday, April 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..  Girl Scouts will be earning a Community Service badge for the completion of their own dress made from a  pillowcase which will be donated to Little Dresses for Africa. Additionally, participating girls will receive an invitation to attend the church service on Sunday, April 27th at 9:30 a.m. to join in a procession bringing the dresses they have created to the church altar. Rachel O' Neill, the founder of Little Dresses for Africa, will be a featured speaker during the April 27th service.

Little Dresses for Africa is a non-profit organization formed to help send relief to the children of Central Africa. Due to the overwhelming response, St. Luke's will be scheduling a second Little Dresses/Girl Scout day. Please contact Kuressa Barents-Kerr @ BarentsK3rr@yahoo.com for information.
