Southfield Summer Soulstice, a new family festival and running event, has been announced for June 21. The event will take place at sunset on the Lawrence Technological University (LTU) campus. Southfield Summer Soulstice will offer participants 5K and 10K runs, which are available to all ages and abilities. Runners will be encouraged to stay after the run to enjoy the longest day of the year with their friends and families that are there to cheer them on. The event also offers a one mile family sunset stroll, music stage, Yoga Soul, kids’ activities, a Michigan craft beer tent, food trucks and much more, until 11p.m.

Funds raised from participants of Southfield Summer Soulstice will go to a variety of charities, including National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society, Michigan Parkinson Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland and Macomb Counties, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan and Southfield Firefighters Charities.
