SUNDAES AND STARS: A Mother and Middle School Daughther Science Evening

SUNDAES AND STARS: A Mother and Middle School Daughter Science Evening will be presented between 6-9 pm at Van Hoosen Middle School.  The event is sponsored by the Rochester Branch of the American Association of University Women who advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, research and philanthrophy, Rochester Van Hoosen and by a grant given by The Women's Fund. 


 This year's hands-on science program will be fun and encourage girls to pursue a career in science, math and technology.  It is open to girls in grades 5-9, their moms, dads, aunts, grandmothers and will offer three presentations: the "Star Lab Planetarium", "Star Light, Star Bright" and "Starring Our Night Sky".  A special session showing a part of the movie "Miss Representation"- How the media depicts women and girls" will be offered to the attending parents while the girls attend the Sky Lab. 


Cost is $5 per person.  Check payable to: AAUW Rochester
