Pathway to Self-Sustainability Meeting

Now is the time to get in on the ground floor of a unique way to end poverty for many families in Oakland County. You’ll learn how volunteering as little as two hours of your time each month can help.

Everyone who would like to help end poverty in Oakland County is welcome. This is an interfaith project. No cost to attend Jan. 22 or join Pathway.

Pathway to Self-Sustainability is a unique way to end local poverty permanently by helping families become financially self-sustaining. The Pathway Project identifies and helps develop non-profit services that achieve this goal with at least 80 percent of their families. Leaders from five organizations will present their services that meet the 80 percent success rate:  Lighthouse of Oakland County, South Oakland Shelter, KIVA, Rochester Area Neighborhood House and Catholic Charities of Southeastern Michigan – Hispanic Outreach Services. There will be an opportunity to sign up to volunteer to support specific services of these programs.
