Gus' Wake 2013

Once again we will honor our dear friend Gus with our 3rd Annual "Celebration of Life" on Thursday, January 17th starting at 5:00 at O'Connor's Public House. Hard to believe he's been gone since 2011... sniff, sniff... he was a good man.

To honor him and keep with the tradition of Gus O'Connor's Public House in Doolin, Ireland, we left "Gus" behind in 2011, and continue to move forward into 2013 as "O'Connor's Public House", the pub you all know and love.

Please join us for an Irish wake that will begin at "O'Connor's Public House". We will start the procession promptly at 5:30. Gus' casket (filled with beer of course) will be lead down our brand new Main Street in Downtown Rochester for all to pay homage. Cardinal Sean O'Connor and the bag piper will lead the way, all are invited to join. Upon return, Cardinal Sean will read the Celebration of Gus' Life eulogy, read his Last Will & Testament, followed by a traditional Irish toast. The evening will round out with live music from Maggie McCabe, lots of swag, and the release of 2 special reserved kegs saved for the occasion: Dog Fish 120 and Goose Island Bourbon County Stout (100 BA rating). Along with Hop Slam and Dog Fish Burton Baton, it will be a "Hoppy" evening.

If you wish to be part of the procession, please arrive promptly at 5:00pm.
