Meeting the needs of both those with cancer or who have ever had cancer as well as family members and friends, the Rochester area Cancer Support Group's new Winter session will begin on Thurs., January 31, and meet for seven consecutive Thursdays.  We gather at 7:00 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church and each meeting includes a speaker on various topics followed by an all-important sharing time.  After the speaker, there will be discussion groups for patients and for caregivers and supporters.  These groups are open to anyone in our community.  The support and growth experienced in these groups is invaluable and amazing.  For more information, call Cheryl Martz at (248) 693-3737 or e-mail her at comartz@yahoo.com.

The Cancer Support Group has helped me so much over the last 9 years when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer. It helps once a week to let go of the anxiety and fear that comes with cancer in a caring group like this one, with people who know exactly how you feel.
