Cruz Thru Media Celebrates 1st Anniversary at OU

November 1, 2013 marked the first anniversary for Cruz Thru
Media, the self-service DVD rental kiosk located in the Oakland Center at
Oakland University. The kiosk was launched in 2012 by Eric Franchy, OU SBA
Class of 2011. Cruz Thru Media plans to celebrate its first anniversary with amazing
deals and giveaways all November long.

Cruz Thru Media kicked off the celebration with dollar days;
renting all movies at just $1 per day throughout November. It also announced a
Free TV Challenge: If the Cruz Thru Media Facebook page hits 365 likes by
November 30, 2013, the small business will give away a 19” HDTV. If both Cruz
Thru Media Twitter followers and membership also reach 365, the company will
upgrade the size of the free TV to 32”. The winner will be selected randomly from
Cruz Thru Media’s Facebook fans, Twitter followers, and members. Winner will be
announced by December 7, 2013. Cruz Thru Media will also be giving away free
rentals to its members, Facebook fans, Twitters followers, and other lucky
members of the OU campus community.

Owner, operator, and self-proclaimed CEO, Eric Franchy,
reflects on his first year in business: ‘Being an entrepreneur is an awesome
experience. In this first year, Cruz Thru Media has had over 1,000 rentals, rose
over $250 for March for Babies, and assisted another OU grad in landing a full
time position as a graphic designer. I am sincerely grateful to all our
members, fans, followers and other members of the community that continue to
support this small business, and look forward to celebrating many more Cruz
Thru Media milestones with them.’
