First-Ever Nationwide Event Launches “25 Days of

Grinch-mas,” Encouraging Kids to Grow Their Hearts Three Sizes
by Doing One Kind Deed Each Day

Barnes & Noble Rochester Hills
will host a free Grinch Day event
on Sunday, December 1 at 11 am. Grinch Day
celebrates everyone’s favorite grump, the beloved green curmudgeon from the Dr.
Seuss classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!  The festivities will include a Storytime,
fun Grinch-themed activities and treats.

Besides reading from the exclusive edition,
booksellers will dazzle the little ones by demonstrating the special “Read
& Play™” version of the book on NOOK® HD+, packed with pixels to
deliver enhanced eBooks with stunning HD clarity.  They'll also showcase additional Dr. Seuss
books on NOOK, along with popular holiday apps including “Christmas Tree: Make
& Decorate!” and “Find the Difference:Holiday Edition.”

Grinch Day
also launches the “25 Days of Grinch-mas,” a campaign encouraging children to
“grow their hearts three sizes” by doing one good deed each day.  Booksellers will provide children with Grinch
“Grow Your Heat Chart,” inviting them to draw a heart around each nice thing
they do leading up to Christmas.  Parents
can fill in three of those good deeds on a postcard and mail it to Random House
Children’s Books.  For each postcard
received, Random House Children’s Books will donate a new book to a child in
need through literacy organization First Book.

The Grinch Day event is free and open to the
public. Barnes & Noble Rochester
Hills is located at 2800 South Rochester Road, Rochester Hills, MI 48307.
