20th Annual Downtown Auburn Hills Tree Lighting

20th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony to dazzle Downtown Auburn Hills

Auburn Hills rings in the holiday season with our 20th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 6th at 6 p.m. in our downtown. Many festive activities are planned, including the arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Claus and the lighting of our enormous Christmas tree on the corner of Squirrel and Auburn Roads.

After the tree lighting, everyone is invited to visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus and have a keepsake photo taken in the DEN (the former Log Cabin). Participants can also take a carriage ride through town, make s’mores at the bonfire and a holiday craft to hang on the door, and enjoy the sounds of live holiday music and specials from several downtown merchants. All activities are free and within walking distance of the event.

The City will also be accepting donations of winter coats, mittens, hats and gloves to be donated to a local non-profit. Donations can be dropped off in the DEN, the log cabin where Santa will be taking pictures after the tree lighting.
