West Second Street To Close Tuesday in Downtown Rochester

The eastbound and westbound lanes of West Second Street will be close between Main and Walnut streets on Tuesday morning.

City officias say a full closure is needed for the rebuilding and repaving of West Second Street. The west alley will remain open throughout the closure for access to the businesses.

This closure will remain in place until 7 p.m. Aug. 3.

The work is part of the ongoing Main Street Makeover in downtown Rochester.

Here are the official detour routes:

• To northbound M-150: North on Walnut then east on University.
• To southbound M-150: South on Walnut then east on Mill Street then south on Diversion Street then east on South Street then south on Diversion Street.
• To eastbound Second Street: South on Walnut then east on Mill Street back to Second Street.
