Here's what's happening this weekend in Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township.

  • Where/When: , 9 a.m. Sunday
  • Registration: Online at www.bloomerboogie.com or if you like to wait until the last minute, there is walk-in registration the day of the race starting at 8 a.m.
  • Cost: The 5K and 5 mile run/walk cost $25, including a T-shirt and refreshments. The 1K kid's Boo Boo Boogie is $10.
  • Why go: The Rochester Area Optimist Club is made up of an awesome group of folks who work very hard to make a positive difference for local kids. Why not run off some of the Halloween candy you ate after the kids went to bed (you know you did!) and help to raise some funds for a great cause.
