Weekend Planner: Jekyll and Hyde, Holiday Home Tour, Campfire

The weekend is finally here. Do you have a solid plan? We have loads of suggestions to get your planning started.

We have given you ideas all week of fun things going on around Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township. Here is a recap:

  • Where/When: , Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
  • Tickets: You can purchase tickets before and after school in the main office or at the door on the night of the show.
  • Cost: $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors.
  • Why go:The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde – a science fiction thriller about a man with multiple personalities – is the Stoney Creek High School Theatre Company's fall production. The play is appropriate for children ages 12 and up.

  • Where/When: Five separate homes in Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township on Sunday from noon-4 p.m.
  • Tickets: Tickets are $25 each and may be purchased at the Friends Store at the , Dillman & Upton, Lytle Pharmacy and Sharon's Hallmark. Call 248-650-7176 for more information.
  • Why go: What better way to get into the holiday spirit than to tour several Rochester-area homes that have been lavishly decorated for the holidays? The tour includes a historic home, three beautiful neighborhood homes and a lovely condominium. To top it off, each home will feature live entertainment. The best part? The proceeds will benefit the Rochester Hills Public Library.

  • Where/When: , Friday from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Reservation: Call Dinosaur Hill to reserve your spot at 248-656-0999.
  • Cost: $5 for non-members and $4 for members; family maximum of $15 for non-members and $12 for members.
  • Why go: The Fall Family Night Campfire at Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve will have a turkey theme, just in time for Thanksgiving. In addition to learning all about turkeys, participants will also learn a turkey call and complete a turkey craft. To finish up the evening? S'mores, of course!

  • Where/When: , Verner Hall. Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m.
  • Tickets: Tickets can be purchased at the Verner Hall Box Office or by clicking here.
  • Cost: $14 for adults, $8 for students and seniors
  • Why go: The women of Lockerbie, Scotland were determined to wash 11,000 pieces of clothing that were collected from the wreckage of Pan Am Flight 103, which was destroyed by a terrorist bomb over their homeland. The women of Lockerbie planned to return the clothing to the families of the victims who perished in the attack. The play is seen through the eyes of an American family. This true story was written by Deborah Brevoort.
