Weekend Planner: If You Need to Party, Party for the Planet

Trying to plan your weekend in Rochester? Have no fear, Patch is here to help.

For Everyone:
Where: Third and Water streets, downtown Rochester
When: Friday, 4-7 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m.Why go: This huge festival will have something for everyone. The weekend includes a parade, yoga, massage, kids activities, and an organic food court. Check out the website for a list of all of the events. www.migreenteam.com

For Date Night: Party For the Planet at the Green Living Festival
Where: Rochester Mills Beer Company
When: Friday, 4-11 p.m., Saturday noon-11 p.m. and Sunday noon-5 p.m.
Why go: Live music outdoors, yummy craft beers, organic and sustainable snacks — a good time and good for the Earth! Broken Bravado, the Ragbirds and Motor City Josh and the Big 3 are some of the bands scheduled to perform. For a complete schedule, click here.

For Girls Night Out:

When: Thursday, 7 p.m.
Why go: Learn how to make sushi rolls with the girlfriends and then take a stroll around the Village of Rochester Hills when you are done.

For Families:
Where:
When: Saturday, 12-3 p.m.
Why go: This RARA-sponsored event will include the Rochester and Rochester Hills Fire Departments with a fire truck and an ambulance. The kids can get a ride on an old fashioned fire truck and see Sparky the Dog.  Don't forget to bring the kids bikes for a free safety inspection, and then kids can ride their bikes in the bike rodeo.
