Cost: Registration in advance is $15 for students; $25 for all others; $40 a couple; $70 family. Participants 10 and under are free. Register on the day of the race adds $5 to the cost.
Registrations: Accepted until 8:30 a.m. Saturday; the registration forms are attached as a PDF file to this article.

Why go: All proceeds of the race benefit the , which provides food, clothing, transportation, counseling and financial assistance for those in Rochester and Rochester Hills. "We chose the Neighborhood House because they do a lot of great things around the community to help out those who really need it," said Rachel Schlagel, a member of the youth council. The race will be chip-timed, and coffee and bagels will be served to participants. This is the third year of the race. Schlagel said about 100 have registered. "It's really nice to see a lot of the community show up. It really warms your heart," she said.
