Weekend Countdown: Paint Creek Trail Labor Day Bridge Walk

Here's what's happening around Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township this weekend.

The long weekend starts tomorrow, and if you're not heading out of town for the holiday weekend, we've got several suggestions to keep you busy all three days.

  • Where/When: , Monday from 8 a.m to noon.
  • Registration: Participants can pre-register online at www.paintcreektrail.org or in person on the day of the event.
  • Cost: This event is free, with a suggested tax-deductible donation of $5.00 per family to help raise $75,000 toward replacing Paint Creek Trail Bridge 31.7, located near Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve.
  • Why go: Whether you are up for the 2-mile walk or the 10k Walk/Run, this event is like hitting two birds with one stone. Not only are you outside enjoying nature and exercising, but you are also helping to preserve and improve the beautiful . Win-win!
