Trailer for Movie Filmed at Chop House Shows Scenes of Downtown Rochester

Reviewers are starting to weigh in on "Another Happy Day," set for release this week in New York and Los Angeles this week.

It's been more than a year since Ellen Barkin, Demi Moore, Thomas Haden Church and others involved in the cast and crew of the movie Another Happy Day took over the Rochester Chop House to film a few scenes.

At the time, the movie was called A Reasonable Bunch.

For three days, the town was abuzz as curious onlookers hung out in downtown Rochester and tried to spy on the set and guess what was going on inside.

Soon, those scenes will be on the big screen for all the world to see.

Another Happy Day will be released Friday in New York and Los Angeles; a nationwide release is set for Dec. 8.

A two-minute trailer for the movie can be viewed on the movie's website. In it, there's a glimpse of the Chop House bar, and we see some characters sitting in restaurant booths that clearly belong to the downtown restaurant.

In another scene, we see characters quarreling in an alley — it's the one behind the restaurant.

The movie centers on a dysfunctional family's weekend away at a wedding. In a review posted Monday morning on the Huffington Post, film critic Marshall Fine describes it as having references to Robert Altman's A Wedding and Jonathan Demme's Rachel Getting Married — but says it falls short at melding comedy with misery.
