A Last-Minute Halloween Costume With Rochester Written All Over It

You can make this road-construction-inspired costume yourself, Rochester.

Whether you're headed to a party with friends or planning to join the Nightmare on Main Street tonight in downtown Rochester, Rochester Patch has a last-minute costume idea for you.

A Rochester Hills girl and Patch reader threw together this costume for a recent party. Take a look at the photos: she dressed as "Construction in Rochester."

To replicate the idea, start with a T-shirt. Add traffic-themed embellishments to make a map (this particular shirt has felt streets and puffy car stickers — shop Michaels or Jo-Ann for inspiration). Wear an orange cone as a hat — one of your kids' backyard soccer cones will do. Have a date? He or she can put on a bright-colored vest and hard hat to dress as a road construction worker.
