Things To Do in Rochester This Saturday

We're helping you plan your sunny Rochester day.

The weather forecasts calls for calm, clear and sunny skies with a high temperature of near 90. Here are five outdoor things to do around town. Click on the event names for more information about that event.

The park on the edge of Rochester is the perfect serene setting for early-morning yoga. It's from 8-9 a.m. and costs $7 (in addition to the vehicle-entry fee).

This year's annual 5K Run/Walk sponsored by the Rochester Hills Government Youth Council will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Troy. The popular event is planned for 9 a.m. at  in Rochester Hills. The course winds through the park's scenic cross-country trails and will be chip-timed. Cost is $15 for students and $25 for adults; you can register on site before the race.

A to Z Farms of Ray, MI is the "Vendor of the Week" and will offer free produce up to $2 for guests of the Downtown Rochester Farmers Market. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot at the corner of East Third and Water streets.

Take the kids to Fountain Park between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to make a free calendar for dad for Father's Day.

Check out old-time "base ball" with the Rochester Grangers. The team plays at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm; the games begin at 1 p.m. and are free to watch and guests can enjoy a free hot dog after the game. Bring lawn chairs and blankets and explore the grounds of the museum during the game. Kids can run the bases after the game.
