The Daffodils Are Coming; Here's Why You Should Order a Bunch
The annual Daffodils for Dinosaurs event is the main fundraiser for Rochester's nature center.
It's time to order the daffodils, Rochester.
Each spring, volunteers from Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve sell bunches of daffodils as part of a "Daffodils for Dinosaurs" event. It's the main fundraiser for the 35-year-old nature center, which features environmental educational programs for children and adults.
This year, Dinosaur Hill is encouraging the community to purchase daffodils as a way to brighten someone else's day. Through the Meals-On-Wheels program at the Older Persons' Commission, the daffodils can be purchased for seniors in the community. Donations are being accepted through Friday.
