When it's too hot for the regular play park, try a sprinkler park. While there aren't any fountain play parks in Rochester, there are a few just a short drive away.

Seymour Lake Park's Splash Pad in Oxford features water spraying from beneath the colorful pads (). It costs $4 for children, but adults are free.

In Clinton Township, the Partridge Creek shopping center's fountain park invites children — and anyone wanting to keep cool — to run through jets of water popping up from the concrete below. This splashing fun is free — except for the cost of the ice cream you'll likely be talked into afterward.
