Rochester Leaders To Discuss Shared Services, Community Garden

Rochester leaders will consider formalizing the sharing of some public works services with the city of Rochester Hills through a proposed interlocal services agreement on the agenda at the Rochester City Council meeting tonight.

The interlocal agreement would formalize cooperation between the two cities that has been ongoing through the years. It details payment for services when the employee of one city pitches in to help the other city. "The parties understand and acknowledge each party's first prioirty is to service its own municipality," the agreement states. "However the parties will make every reasonable effort to timely complete work for the other party."
