Rochester Hills Library Named Town's Top Family Hangout

Where's the best place to hang with your family? The library, of course.

At least that's what Patch readers have determined after a weeklong vote in our Readers' Choice quest for the in Rochester and Rochester Hills.

The received 73 votes in the poll.

"In the age of the internet, DVDs by mail and e-readers, I had not stepped foot in a library in 20+ years," . "However, I have found the Rochester (Hills) Library to be a very nice place to take my 2-year-old. She loves picking out books, working the puzzles, and doing other activities."

Sarah Smith Conlan is a librarian in the children's area of the library. She called the library a "place where you can bring the whole family — and stay awhile."

The library offers programs for children ages birth through teen. It recently unveiled the , a bookmobile dedicated to kids.
