Rochester Hills Boy Hospitalized After Sunday Bike Accident

He was in stable condition.

A 16-year-old Rochester Hills boy remained hospitalized Sunday night after colliding with a car Sunday afternoon while riding his bike.

The incident happened shortly after 2 p.m. at the intersection of East Auburn and Frankson roads, according to an Oakland County Sheriff's Office report.

The car, a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica, was driven by a 54-year-old Sterling Heights woman. She was not injured, according to the report.

The boy was transported by the Rochester Hills Fire Department to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital, where he was in stable condition with no serious injuries but was going to be kept overnight for observation.
