Recipes for a World Series Watch Party

Staying in to watch tonight's Detroit Tigers game? Here are some foods to keep you spirited (and warm) on this baseball night.

If you're lucky enough to be at Comerica Park for tonight's Game 3 between the Detroit Tigers and the San Francisco Giants, you know what you'll be dining on.

Pizza (Little Caesars, of course). Coneys. Cracker Jacks. And, of course, peanuts.

But if you're hosting a World Series watch party or heading out to one, here are five dishes you can share.

You can pace back and forth with this taco: Maybe you can't wait for Tuesday for your free Doritos Locos Taco from Taco Bell (the results of a stolen base bet the restaurant chain offered up during the Series). Patch blogger Hope Comerford, known for her Busy Mom's Slow-Cooker Adventures, created this version you can cook all day and dine on at night. It's a recipe for Walking Tacos that will have guests dining on tacos from mini bags of chips. Yum — and fun!

A dip to pass: Patch Editor Brooke Tajer regularly shares favorite recipes with readers; this Beer Dip is one you can't resist and would make a great dish to pass. It's cream cheese, a ranch dressing envelope, beer and cheese. Serve it with chips (but keep the kids away).

Comfort food: If it's more of a cold-weather entree you're after, Tajer shares a recipe for Pumpkin Chili that you can put in your slow-cooker right now.

Speaking of Cracker Jacks: You can buy a case of Cracker Jack boxes at Costco for about $12. Or, you can try making your own. Emeril Lagasse shares his Homemade Cracker Jacks recipe on the FoodNetwork.com.

These treats are works of art: Want to get creative? Search "baseball party" on Pinterest and you'll be hit with images of coloful baseball cupcakes, cookies and even party favors and decorations.

What are you munching on during the game tonight? Tell us in the comments.

Hugo... the road, bridge, road right of way: The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC)... theRead More aesthetic black fence... Rochester Hills... let's assume there waiting for an insurance claim to go through or debating who pays. Thanks for your post. You could call the Mayor, but he is in Istanbul Turkey... looking over some plans for a new shopping mall they want to build in an historic park. Makes perfectly good sense this is the same Mayor who supported tearing down a historic house on Rochester Road to build a new strip mall... and turning Office Research Technology zoning into a Wal-Mart.

Yes I have been wondering too...I am going to use the RCOC website and see if they will respond
