Photo of the Day: Clinton River, Uncovered

The bridge has been completely removed from the Livernois Road stretch of the busy Rochester Hills intersection. Now comes the rebuilding.

It's a little bit of deja vu at the corner of Avon and Livernois roads in Rochester Hills.

Just as over the Clinton River, the Livernois Bridge at the same intersection is now gone. Work on replacement of the deteriorating bridge began June 9. It will continue through November, when a new and improved bridge is scheduled to be completed.

That bridge was also found last year to be in a state of disrepair. It was originally set to be rebuilt in 2014, then moved up to 2013. Recently,  happen this year.

The road is closed at the intersection.

The detour route for Livernois through traffic will be Avon Road to Rochester Road to Hamlin Road and back to Livernois and vice versa.
