Letter Carriers Will Collect More Than Just Mail Saturday

Place nonperishable food items by your mailbox Saturday morning to help Stamp Out Hunger.

On Saturday, the National Association of Letter Carriers, along with the U.S. Post Office, will hold the 20th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Residents are asked to leave non-perishable food items in bags or boxes by their mailbox and postal carriers will pick them up to distribute to food pantries.

This is the 20th anniversary of the Stamp Out Hunger food drive. It's the nation’s largest single day food drive, having collected more than 1 billion pounds of food since its inception in 1993. Last year, 70.2 million pounds of food were collected.
