Is Your House More Spooky Than This One? Share Your Photos on Patch

We are creating a gallery of "haunted" houses from around Rochester and Rochester Hills.

Think holiday light tour — only scarier.

We want to put together a map of the streets and neighborhoods where the ghosts and goblins have decorated the homes for Halloween.

Maybe your house is decked out in orange lights. Or maybe it's wrapped in spider webs. Whatever your choice of decor, we are looking to showcase some of the more Halloween-y homes in Rochester and Rochester Hills.

Here's how to participate:

  • Take a photo of your house — either during the day or at night, depending on how your decorations show up behind the lens. You can upload the photo here (click "Photos and Videos" above) or email it directly to Rochester Patch.
  • Post a comment suggesting a street or neighborhood that's all decked out for Halloween.
  • Send us an email to let us know where you've seen great Halloween decor around town.

One of our first stories on Rochester Patch was the one about a to Halloween. The front yard of Karl Kemnitz's home on Red Oak Lane was decorated with a cemetery, a mummy, a grim reaper and more.

"I really enjoy the creativity involved and the result from all the hard work," said Kemnitz. "I want people to have that complete Halloween experience that I had as a kid.

"I want to scare them just enough, so they stay excited about this fun holiday."

It's time to get your scare on, Patch readers.
