Happy Halloween 2012, Rochester: Here's What You Need to Know
From trick-or-treat hours to the weather forecast to the most popular Halloween candy this year, here is your guide to the day.
It's the night all little ghouls and boys look forward to: Halloween. Here's what you need to know:
The hours: You can trick-or-treat in Rochester from 7-8 p.m. In Rochester Hills, the hours are 6-8 p.m. If you don't want to give out candy (or if you run out), turn off your porch light.
The weather: The forecast calls for considerable cloudiness with occasional rain showers. Winds from the northwest will be 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain for the evening is 40 percent.

When you have too much candy: Check to see if your child's school or your church is collecting leftover candy; many organizations hold candy drives and send the collections overseas to troops. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office on Barclay Circle in Rochester Hills is collecting candy for troops on Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
